    

Philip J. Kregor, MD

Dr. Kregor began in May, 2002 as Associate Professor and Director, Division Orthopaedic Trauma. He completed his residency training at the University of Washington/Harborview Medical Center. Following this he completed a year of Basic Science Research in Bone Microcirculation at the A.O. Research Institute Davos, Switzerland. He then completed a 15 month traveling Fellowship in Pelvic and Acetabular trauma, where he visited 8 established pelvic and acetabular surgeons. Dr. Kregor continually seeks to improve his knowledge in this area with ongoing communication with other well-known professionals in his field such as Drs. Joel Matta, Jeff Mast, Keith Mayo, and Chip Routt.
From 1995 until 2001, he was at the University of Mississippi where his practice consisted of Orthopaedic Traumatology, Pelvic and Acetabular trauma, Hip Reconstruction, and surgery of malunions and nonunions.
Dr. Kregor’s interests include pelvic and acetabular trauma, care of the poly-traumatized patient, hip reconstructive procedures and surgery of malunions / nonunions. He is also well-versed in submuscular plating techniques. He was recently elected the sole North American on the A.O. Expert Group for Long Bone Fixation, and won the A.O. Technical Commission Prize for Innovation in Fracture Fixation, 2002.

William T. Obremskey, MD, MPH

Dr.
Obremskey joined the faculty at Vanderbilt in September, 2002. Dr. Obremskey functions as
Associate Professor and Director of Orthopaedic Trauma Resident
Education and Clinical Research. He completed his residency training at the University of Washington/Harborview Medical Center and then spent 3 years with the United States Air Force in Tuscon, AZ. He then completed an AO Fellowship in Basel, Switzerland in Trauma Reconstruction. He spent 5 years at the University of North Carolina, prior to joining the Vanderbilt faculty in 2002.
Dr. Obremskey’s research interests are in high-quality, well-designed, clinical outcome projects. Vanderbilt has become the lead center and is participating in several international and national multi-center research endeavors.

Erika Mitchell, MD
Assistant Professor

Dr. Mitchell is a graduate of Brown University and performed her residency at Case Western Reserve University. Her special interests include pelvic and acetabular trauma, as well as polytrauma. Outside of the office, she is an avid rower.
Marc Tressler, DO

Dr. Tressler is a graduate of Ohio University and performed his residency at York Memorial Hospital. His medical interests include complex periarticular fractures and foot and ankle trauma. He is married to wife Karen and they have two children, Ethan and Ryan. His outside interests include his family, baseball, and ice hockey.
