Tony Mayo receives 2007 Vanderbilt Risk Management Award

Vanderbilt Risk Management recently awarded Tony Mayo with a $1000 award implemented 2 years ago to recognize people who go above and beyond their line of duty to improve quality and safety for patients.

Tony implemented a labeling system for meds to tell when they go out of date, spearheaded an effort to move electrical outlets from the floor to the wall so cast saws could be used safely. He also implemented a repositioning of sharps disposal boxes and diagnostic equipment for the safety of the staff.

The VOI is proud of Tony and his accomplishements and congratulates him for this award.
