Dr.
Mencio is currently the director of the pediatric orthopaedic service
at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital as well as the director
of the Vanderbilt Spina Bifida Clinic. His clinical interests include:
Pediatric orthopaedic trauma, scoliosis & spinal deformity,
limb lengthening, cerebral palsy and gait analysis.
Dr. Mencio graduated from the Duke University School of Medicine in 1981. He completed his surgical residency at the University of Pittsburgh in 1983 and his orthopaedic residency at Duke University in 1987. He completed his Fellowship in pediatric orthopaedics from Newington Children's Hospital from 1987-88.
