Dr.
Kregor joined the Vanderbilt Orthopaedic Institute in 2002 as the
Director of the Orthopaedic Trauma Division. His clinical areas
of interest are: pelvic and acetabular fractures, care of the polytraumatized
patient, submuscular plating techniques for distal femur and proximal
tibial fractures, nonunion / malunion surgery, and hip joint preservation
surgery.
Education
Dr. Kregor received his MD from Vanderbilt University School of
Medicine in 1988, where he was a member of Alpha Omega Alpha. He
completed his surgical internship at Duke University in 1989 and
his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Washington
in Seattle, Washington in 1993. He was awarded a one year Swiss
National Science Foundation research fellowship studying bone microcirculation
at the A.O. Research Institute in Davos, Switzerland from 1993-1994.
After that he spent 15 months visiting pelvic and acetabular fracture
