The
Vanderbilt Hand & Upper Extremity Center mission is to:
Diagnose and treat traumatic, congenital,
and acquired disorders of the hand and upper extremity.
H ere at the Hand & Upper
Extremity Center, we understand the intricacies of the hand.
We understand the importance of you being able to function in your
daily activites as well as utilizing your hand skills at work and
at play. In our specialized center we coordinate our rehabilitative
hand care with programs offered by the Occupational Therapy Department
under the direction of certified Hand
Therapists and Physicians.
Our
Specialties include: rheumatoid, and other adult hand reconstruction,
management of acute hand trauma involving microvascular surgery
and reimplantation, and the surgical reconstruction of congenital

Our campus location is on the third floor of the Medical Center East, in
the South Tower adjacent to outpatient physical therapy and Vanderbilt
Sports Medicine Center.
