photo of Dr. groomesDr. Groomes has been at Vanderbilt since 1993. He sees orthopaedic patients at the Stallworth Rehabilitation Hospital. His clinical interests include traumatic brain injury and spinal cord injury.

Dr. Groomes received his MD degree from the College of Medicine, University of Tennessee in 1987. His internship was completed from 1987-88 at the University of Tennessee Memorial Hospital and he completed his physical medicine & rehabilitation residency at the Spain Rehabilitation Center at the University of Alabama from 1988-91. His fellowship in research enrichment for physiatrists was completed at the Missouri Arthritis Rehabilitation Research Center and the NIDRR Health Science Center from 1991-92.
