Scott
Cooper, MS, ATC is the Assistant Manager for Fitness at the Vanderbilt Orthopaedics Institute. A graduate of the University of Alabama he moved here from Richmond, Virginia where he was employed as a Certified Athletic Trainer for the Medical College of Virginia. Scott has worked for Vanderbilt Medical Center for six years and has been a member of the fitness staff since the center first opened in 2005. Scott’s work interests including working with fitness cneter members on behavior modification and exercise prescription and developing member programming. In his spare time he enjoys being with his wife and son, playing golf and traveling. email
Jasper Richardson M.Ed, MS-HCM, ATC,
NASM-PES, CSCS joined the Vanderbilt Orthopaedic Institute in October of 2005, after spending 4 years on staff at the Tulane Institute of Sports Medicine where his responsibilities ranged from patient care to assisting in the center’s Human Performance/Biomechanics Laboratory. He has been a Certified Athletic Trainer since 1998, receiving both his undergraduate and master’s degree in Athletic Training from the University of Virginia. Jasper has traveled internationally providing medical coverage for the United States Olympic Committee. His professional interests include injuries and rehabilitation of the shoulder, functional rehabilitation and sports reconditioning. In his spare time Jasper enjoys playing soccer, lifting weights running and cycling. email
Mike Neumeyer MS, ATC, CSCS is a Certified Athletic Trainer, as well as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. After receiving his bachelors degree in Athletic Training from Western Illinois University, Mike attended Southern Illinois University and earned his Masters of Science degree in Exercise Science while working as a graduate assistant with the Saluki Football Team. He then moved to Kentucky where he worked for two years as an outreach athletic trainer. Mike and his wife Jeanie moved to Nashville three years ago and has worked in various roles with Vanderbilt Sports Medicine and has been working at the Vanderbilt Orthopaedic Fitness Center for six months while providing outreach athletic training services to Hillwood High School. Mike is an avid cyclist and enjoys training for and competing in endurance mountain bike races across the region. email
Mark Snow MA, ATC NASM-PES joined the VOI staff in January. He is a Certified Athletic Trainer and has a certification as a Performance Enhancing Specialist. Mark and his wife, Nikki, recently moved from Omaha, Nebraska where he was employed as the clinical coordinator for the Athletic Training Education Program and was assistant director for Campus Recreation in charge of Injury Prevention and Care. Mark has been an ATC for 12 years and has worked at the professional, collegiate, high school and clinical levels of sports medicine. Mark enjoys playing softball and volleyball as well as working out and participating in 5k races in his spare time. One of his work interests is in developing an injury prevention program.
Julie Ketchum joined the VOI Fitness Staff in October. She was born in Nashville and went to college at Western Kentucky. She has many years of experience with customer service, patient accounting and medical billing. In her spare time Julie enjoys going to movies, shopping, working out and spending time with her friends and family.
