Compensation, Benefits, and Travel...
Compensation
Fellows will be paid through the Department of Orthopaedics and
Rehabilitation, at a rate equivalent to the PGY-6 ($52,396), FY
2008-2009. Compensation during the second year of the fellowship
will be established by the fellowship director.
Benefits
A benefit package exists through the department which includes
health insurance (dependent option available), life insurance,
and disability coverage. Malpractice insurance will be provided.
Travel
Attendance at one major meeting in the continental U.S. will
be funded each year (e.g. AAOS, AOA, NASS, ISSLS, SRS, OTA, POSNA).
Airfare, registration, hotel and meal allowance will be provided.
Miscellaneous
Article reprints are available to fellows. The cost of slides
and similar educational materials will generally be covered, although
an absolute limit may be established. Additional costs related
to fellowship work will be reviewed individually. Any slides will
be duplicated, with a copy to Dr. Spengler.
